Email Password Reset

Before setting up your email on any device/application you’ll be required to change your password from the temporary password we provided you upon account creation. If you have lost/forgotten this password please contact [email protected]

Step 1

Visit https://skystream.email. At the login screen enter your Email Address and the Temporary Password provided.

Step 2

Here you will be prompted to select a new password. Enter your Email Address and Temporary Password again, followed by the Password you wish to change it to. Confirm this Password again and then click Sign In.

Step 3

Your chosen password has now been set! At this point you can continue using the webmail client, or for information to set up a specific device/application check below..

Email Client Setup

To set up your Skystream Hosting email in your existing email client, use the following settings where required:

Username/Password:
- Username: Your full email address (e.g. [email protected])
- Password: Your password
Incoming Server:
- Type: IMAP
- Hostname/Server: skymail01.skystreamhosting.com
- Port: 993
- Security: SSL
Outgoing Server
- Type: SMTP
- Hostname/Server: skymail01.skystreamhosting.com
- Port: 587
- Security: STARTTLS or TLS

For instructions on how to configure your email client for use with your Skystream Hosting email account choose from one of the following:

Step 1

Log in to your email account using webmail at https://skystream.email. Click on the Gear icon in the top right and select Settings.

Step 2

In the following screen select Accounts from the list on the left.

Step 3

Click the Dropdown arrow at the right side of your account to expand.

Step 4

Scroll down and click the Set Up Two-factor Authentication button.

Step 5

Enter your Password to confirm your identity. Click Next.

Step 6

On your mobile device open or install your Authentication App of choice. Click Next.

Step 7

Add a new entry in your Authenticator App and scan the QR code then Click Next.

Step 8

Enter the code your Authenticator App provides and then Click Verify.

VERY Important:

Once you enable 2fa your existing password will only work for logging in through Webmail and through the Zimbra Desktop application. If you connect to your email using a program like Outlook, Apple Mail or using an App on your mobile device you must follow the next steps or risk getting your account locked out!

You must generate Passcodes for applications and devices that do not support two factor authentication.

• Passcodes are uniquely generated passwords for use with email client and devices which do not support 2fa.
• With 2fa enabled will not be able to log in to your email account through your original password through these programs/devices.
• You must create and use these passcodes in place of your normal password for these clients/devices.

Below are the instructions on how to create an application Passcode.

Step 9

Set up a Passcode for Applications That Do Not Support 2fa. Click the Add a Passcode link.

Step 10

Enter the name of the program or device that you wish to use this Passcode for.

Step 11

A unique and secure passcode will be generated for you. Update the password in your Email Client or Mobile Device with this new password.

Step 12

Repeat Steps 9 through 11 for as many devices/email clients as you have.
